Alkaline Marinara Sauce



6 Large  Plum tomatoes

1/2 Cup  Yellow onions, diced

1/4 Tsp  Fresh basil, chopped

1/4 Tsp  Fresh oregano leaves, chopped

1/4 Tsp  Crushed pepper

1/4 Tsp  Sea Salt

1  Bay leaf 

Dried mushrooms, (optional) 

Agave, to taste (optional



In a steamer, steam tomatoes for 7 minutes. Remove and let cool. In the meantime in a medium saucepan on medium high heat add oil and let heat. Once heated add onions, bay leaf and sauté until onions are translucent. While onions are cooking chop up tomatoes in a plate. Add basil, oregano and sea salt and stir. Turn heat to medium low, add chopped tomatoes, reserving any liquid from the tomato, and dried mushrooms, cover pan and cook for 10 minutes. Add reserved liquid from tomatoes and turn heat to medium high and cook for another 5 minutes. Add agave and adjust salt, if needed.
